Job Description:

To direct and manage the strategic development of the signaling and telecommunication systems to reposition, modernize and  increase rail traffic capacity for rail passengers in South Africa.

Job Responsibilities:

• Undertake finance planning according to the budget
• Interpret information inputted at the regional level in respect of maintenance completed and assess the performance of assets e.g. terms of enhancement and/or upgrade of S & T asset renewal
• Oversee the development of multiple project plans and translate the concepts into realisable engineering deliverables.
• Conceptualise projects aligned to the Divisional strategy
• Oversee the implementation of corrective action.
• Develop business plans for the department to use as a guide for implementation of the strategy.

Job Requirements:

• Masters Electrical Engineering Degree or Equivalent
• Minimum 15 – 20 Years Railway Signaling
• 7 Years Project Management (Working on Large Projects i.e., minimum R500m)
• 5 Years Engineering Technical Management
• 3 Years Exposure to Asset Management
• A postgraduate business degree or near completion of an MBA
