Job Description:
To supervise and oversee the management of the insurance department and to coordinate and evaluate the risk financing and risk retention policies of PRASA to ensure that there is a cost-effective balance between risk transfer and retention throughout the group
Job Responsibilities:
- Purchase conventional insurance in accordance with the corporate risk management strategy
- Conduct Risk Transfer Evaluations
- Review and evaluate the insurance products annually and oversee the negotiation of insurance premiums with brokers
- Evaluate the insurance cost benefit structure to ensure value (at least annually)
- Ensure that an Insurance Risk Program is established and implemented
- Conduct performance reviews in accordance with policies and procedures and take corrective actions where necessary
Job Requirements:
- Any relevant post-graduate qualification in finance, risk management or law
- At least 2 years relevant rail industry experience and understanding of the transport services sector
- Understanding of the compliance requirements for the rail industry
- 4 yearsâ experience in a Senior Management position/role
- 5 – 10 years risk management, insurance experience
- BCom Degree (or equivalent) in Management, Risk,
