Job Description:

To safely and efficiently operate, maintain, repair and safeguard the high voltage Electrical plant and associated equipment in Traction and Signal Supply Substations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Control of work on maintenance systems
• Compile daily reports / timesheets
• Perform maintenance on substations and related equipment
• Perform maintenance on electrical installations of stations and buildings
• Ensure safety of subordinates
• Perform fault finding and rectification of electrical equipment
• Control of material

Job Requirements:

• Qualified Trade Tested Electrician (attach certified copy)
• Grade 12/N3 (Maths and Physics) or N3/NCV electrical Engineering Heavy Current (attach certified copy)
• System course (attach certified copy)
• Successfully completed the Electrical Traction
• High Voltage Cat “A” Brown license
• 2 Years of experience as an Electrician
• Drivers licence code 8 / 10 (attach certified copy)
